Reflection
What was the most difficult part?
For me the most difficult part was choosing which points to focus on. Guatemala has a lot of history and deciding on the key pieces and keeping my time to a reasonable amount was very difficult for me. Especially since I really like learning about history so I probably spent more time than I should have just researching and reading about the history of religion and the rich mayan history that existed there.
What would you like to learn more about?
As stated before I really like history and it is one of my favorite subjects in school. So learning more about Guatemala and its revolutions, past governments, and a lot about the mayans. With there being over 1500 there has to be a lot that happened there. So I would be curious to learn more about all of that.
What would you suggest we do differently next time?
Even with me missing a few days of school during project work time I still had more than enough time to work on the project. one thing I would add is a little bit more time for refinement. And I'm curious why we picked Guatemala, it just seemed like a super random spanish speaking country and definitely not one that has much cultural impact in America. So maybe next time I would look at having a selection of spanish speaking countries to choose from.
